Lisa Geduldig: San Francisco Publicist

Lisa Geduldig produced, marketed, and did a tremendous publicity job for two

of my concerts in San Francisco. Lisa is a magnificent promoter; her imagination

to produce excitement for any event is limitless. I highly respect her talent, and I

will be very lucky to work with her again. - Charo (Yes, THAT Charo!)

Lisa was my Publicist and Show Producer for the 2012 DVD taping of my stand     up comedy special in San Francisco. Not only did she source the beautiful     theater, she liaised with them on my behalf to secure the venue, and organized     all pre-show press interviews and newspaper articles. She did a spectacular job,     so much so, I credit her for helping me completely sell out the theater, making     my taping a roaring success. I would not hesitate to work with her again, and     I'm actually loathe to write this reference, as I want to keep her for myself!             - Gina Yashere, comedian

I absolutely highly recommend Lisa Geduldig for any PR and marketing needs.

She is highly detailed, extremely well connected with all manner of media and

she is the type of go-getter that really brings in both media attention AND audience. I have worked with her on my projects for the past 4 years and each time I gain more respect and gratitude for her services. She really is the best,

she deeply understands where to go and how to create a media campaign that

will work, and she is often available MUCH too often day and night, which

literally is the kind of fabulous service anyone would want when in the midst of

a production or marketing campaign. She speaks Spanish which is a huge advantage for a dance organization like Caminos Flamencos, but I would hire

her for almost any project requiring media buzz and attention.

Lisa Geduldig is a powerful and responsible Publicist. She did PR for the 50th Anniversary of the longest running Belly Dance show in the world, Bal Anat,

and took this show that was known in our specific genre of dance and brought it out to the public. My goal was to have publicity that would reach a market I

could not get to, and she went above and beyond my expectation.  Not only

did she reach out to her existing connections, but she helped me build my press

page and needs on my web site for this show. Then on the day of the show she was so helpful that she was even helping to seat people for our sold out show!

She had us on in multiple newspapers and magazines as well as radio and

social media.  She is well rounded and knows who to reach out to for what

event.  I highly recommend Lisa.  - Suhaila Salimpour, Bal Anat

Now that I’ve worked with Lisa I can’t imagine trying to promote a show without her! She is incredibly good at what she does. We were trying to reach beyond our usual audience for this show and we did it. Not only did we sell out - we got great press from a variety of different outlets. The buzz Lisa created around our event was amazing. She is extremely well connected, professional, efficient and detailed. I really appreciate the way she manages relationships with the press from start to finish, making sure that everyone has been taken care of. Working with Lisa has been a wonderful experience, she’s the best! – Kerensa DeMars, San Francisco Flamenco Dance Company

Lisa took the time to get to know our organization and understand the publicity strategy. She went well beyond just mailing press releases to friends in the     media, making some calls, and hoping for the best - she got us great coverage relevant to our audience goals. Our event sold out so fast we had to scramble      to add seats and turn a few potential attendees away. We look forward to   working with her again.                                                                                       - Brandi Brandes, Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center

I hired Lisa Geduldig to help promote the West Coast premiere of an American opera. Her doggedness and professionalism with the media resulted in outstanding local and national press. I would highly recommend and hope to work with her again. - Michael Colbruno, opera producer

Lisa Geduldig did PR for Bay Area National Latino AIDS Awareness Day, and she did an excellent job. She secured pre and post-event press coverage in both the Spanish and English-speaking press. We were able to gain the visibility we needed to help gain community awareness of HIV/AIDS issues impacting Latinos/Latinas in the area. I'd recommend her PR services; she is not only efficient but also culturally competent to respond to the needs of the Latino community. -  Maricarmen Arjona, Public Health

My art opening was in less than two weeks, and I was sure no one could help

me at the last minute. Then I Googled "San Francisco publicist" and found Lisa's

PR web site, and she kicked into high gear, worked miracles for me, and

garnered press coverage including a photo in the Pink Pages. She's the best.

Lisa did publicity for a world premiere production for an out-of-town playwright for us and simply did an outstanding job. She garnered a number of preview articles/interviews, helping to introduce the playwright to San Francisco. Despite a theatrical run of only two weeks, she was able to get reviewers to come and publish reviews.  She went above and beyond the call of duty several times and astounded me by actually coming to see the production two times as well as one of the post show discussions. I don't know that I've ever worked with a publicist who has done that. How wonderful to have someone who truly knows what the art is that they are publicizing. She was absolutely relentless on our behalf and I couldn't be more grateful!

  1. -Jubilith Moore, Theater Director, Theatre of Yugen

Lisa was one of the key people who made my San Francisco debut as a

playwright very special. I enjoyed the interviews by interesting and intelligent

Bay Area theater writers, and I believe these features and prominent listings

set up a context for the wonderful reviews that followed. She was personable

and caring to the project and the artists involved. I have worked with several

NYC-based press representatives, and I did not expect to find my favorite

person out of town. I'd love to work with Lisa again soon.

Lisa served as the publicist for Community Boards' annual SF Peacemaker

Awards event. This event brings together civic leaders, grassroots activists/educators/peacemakers, lawyers/judges, and community mediators to

celebrate efforts towards collaboration, engagement and peacemaking. It's not easy getting media for an event, but Lisa managed to get a lot! She did an incredible job raising the visibility of this event and the work of Community

Boards. She was easy to work with, brought the highest level of professionalism

to the job, was accessible, and very supportive. I'd hire her again, in a

heartbeat. I highly recommend her.

Lisa got us mainstream and niche press for our International Southeast Asia

Film Festival. We were the buzz... She is very conscientious, detail oriented,

and collaborative. We love her. She communicates clearly, a trouble-shooter,

and maintains the course in relation to our PR needs. She is a great person to

have on your team with great connections in the media.

-Ina Adele Ray, Co-Director, I-SEA Film Festival

Lisa Geduldig was fabulous to work with. I am the Executive Director of The Gubbio Project, offering rest and services to homeless folks in the sanctuary of churches, and we hired her to publicize a comedy fundraising event that was reaching out to an entirely new audience for us. She was able to garner local, national, and even international press in print, radio, podcast, and online. She

was professional, understood the demands of a small nonprofit, and checked in and followed up regularly and consistently. It felt like having an additional staff member for a month - someone going to bat and promoting the organization

at all hours - what a benefit! She was quick to respond to me, my staff, and to a situation that arose. She has a sense of humor, a long history of community involvement, and is a person of integrity. I would highly recommend her.

  1. -Laura Slattery, Executive Director, The Gubbio Project

As a member of the press, I have loved working with Lisa. Not only does she

get me the well-written, thorough and informative material I need to do my job;

she writes about her clients in a way that gets me excited about covering them. She's also impeccably prompt; she gets me press releases farther in advance

than almost any other publicist does, which allows me a much greater chance to get her clients preview coverage. She's also super-fast in responding to my

queries and proactive about following up, which is invaluable for me in meeting

my deadlines. A true gem!

I loved working with Lisa to promote the limited engagement of my show

“Mimi’s Suitcase” in San Francisco to kick off 2020 and get featured in publications such as KQED Arts and The Chronicle’s The List. I particularly

enjoyed taking part in English and Spanish language radio interviews. I highly recommend Lisa to anyone in need of a PR who is professional, a clear and fast communicator and always ready to either answer questions or find the answer

for you.
